KONJAC

Konjac is a plant that is grown and eaten in China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan & Southeast Asia for over a thousand years. Mostly known as a natural dietary food the konjac plant contains almost no calories, but is very high in fiber.  Konjac is a natural alkaline plant, which means it helps balance your body's pH.   The konjac root contains mostly water, 97% is water and 3% is glucomannan (dietary fiber).  The konjac root has loads of vitamins and minerals, which is why the plant is so sought after as a health plant.

Whats in my Sponge

The sponge is made from 100% preservative-free konjac root, a pure vegetable fiber extracted from the Amorphophallus Konjac plant.   The fibers of the konjac plant are known for its water retention and absorbing properties, which allows the sponge to create a thin layer of water between the sponge and your skin so that the natual alkaline properties of the sponge can balance the acidity in your skin.  The thin layer of water also allows the sponge to feel soft to the touch and delicate to your skin.  

 

The vitamins and minerals in the Konjac plants are:  Zinc, Copper, Protein, Water, Lipids, Carbohydrate, Potassium, Iron, Phosphorus, Sodium, Magnesium, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, pantothenate, & 16 amino acids in the dietary fibre. 

 

Our sponges are made from high grade food konjac powder and pure volcanic rock filtered water.  The morning sponge is made of 100% biodegradable and eco-friendly plant fibres.  All of our sponges are inspected and assured for quality control.  

 

Our products are free of parabens, sulphates, & phthalates.
